Igwang duwang paagi para makagibo nin Nutritional Status Report: ang Manual Method and Computer-aided Method.

Ang Carry-On Method po ay saro sa duwang existing computer-aided methods para makagibo nin Nutritional Status Reports sa fast, convenient and practical na paagi.

Igwang set of files and instructions sa Carry-On Method na dapat sundan. Dai makaka gibo nin Final School Report, dai makaka gibo nin District Consolidated Report, dai makaka gibo nin Division Consolidated Report kung wara ang TfCA.

Ang Essential Requirement kan Carry-On Method asin an ibang pang concerns ay naka detalye po digdi.

Ang trabaho po kan Teacher or kan District Nurse ay dai man nagtatapos sa pag determine lang kan mga nutritional status or categories kan learners. August 22 to 25, 2023.

Bukod sa convenience kan automation na tiga tao kan mga files ta (versus regular Excel NS templates), an saro po sa mga tig-highlight ta sa 4-day event na ini ay ang linya na "kapag na-categorize, masu-summarize". Ang mga nutritional status (NS) reports kan mga schools sa sarong District, kaipuhan magibuhan nin District Consolidated Report. Ang mga reports kan mga districts sa sarong Division, kaipuhan magibuhan nin Division Consolidated Report na isusubmit naman pasiring sa Regional Office. An mga reports kan mga regional offices, isusubmit man pasiring sa Central Office kan DepEd.

An video na ini ay related sa pag gibo (generate) nin District Consolidated Report. An target users kan District Consolidator File na ini iyo an mga District Nurses or teacher encoders. Ilaag sa sarong folder ang mga school files then pindot pindot ka na lang ki buttons. Napakadali mag generate ki District Consolidated Reports!

Export Import Features

Short demonstration kan export and import features kan Nutritional Status automation files.

An target users kan Template for Class Advisers (TfCA ) iyo an mga School Health Coordinators or School Feeding Coordinators. An target users kan Main School Consolidator file (MSCf)  iyo an mga District Nurses. Automated na. Mapindot pindot ka na lang. Life is easy with button clicks.

Ngani ma-save an mga dataset kan kada section sa external database, kaipuhan ta kan 'Export' feature.

An dataset na na-save, pwede ta naman mapakinabangan gamit an 'Import' feature.


Garu man sana po naga save ki mga Contacts sa phonebook kan cellular phone.

Had the chance to demonstrate our NS automation files to them during the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Inter-Agency and National Technical Working Group (NTWG) Progress and Monitoring Review - Exit Conference held at the Ninong's Hotel, Legazpi City. December 15, 2022.

Reference tables na tinao sa pa-training

Kan April 18 - 19, 2017 nagkundusir po nin aktibidad an DepEd na may pamagat na Training on Nutritional Assessment (Batch 2 - Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, & NCR). Tig atendiran ini kan pag iriba ming nurses from Albay Division.

Saro sa mga na-discuss duman segun sa mga Powerpoint slides na tig share ay ang topic tungkol sa 'Determining Nutritional Status'. 

Naiprisintar duman an slide na ini kung sain mahihiling ta an tiga apud na Weight-For-Age reference table. Hale po ini sa WHO CGS na tig adaptar kan DepEd.

Base po sa label kan Weight-For-Age table, ang categories na gagamiton ta kapag ang mga learners ay younger than 72 months (71mos and younger or 5yrs 11mos and younger) ay Severely Underweight, Underweight, Normal, Overweight.

An reference table po na yan ay kaibanan as attachment sa pinaluwas na DepEd Memo No. 241 s.2010 (Change And Additional Information In Deped Memorandum No. 165, S. 2010 (Adoption Of The 2007 World Health Organization Child Growth Standards).

Importante po na maisihan ta an mga laog kaiyan dahil dyan po kita maga base kan 'category' kan learner na ilalaag ta sa satuyang Nutritional Status Report. Specific po ang categories dyan sa WFA table for certain age group; 0 month to 71 months.

 
Iba po yan sa mga categories kan BMI-For-Age reference tables para sa mga aki na an edad ay 72 months to 228 months na kung sain Severely Wasted, Wasted, Normal, Overweight, Obese po an expected categories as shown below for Boys (igwa din po para sa mga Girls)

Iba rin po ang BMI for Adults reference table para sa mga learners 229 months and older na an edad kung sain ang categories ay may label na Underweight, Normal, Overweight, Obese as shown sa table below

 

Bawat age group, igwang specific reference table na gagamiton. Bawat indicator, igwang corresponding reference values and labels/ categories.

In other words, sa weight indicators and considering age, gagamiton ta po an categories sa WFA reference table para sa mga learners na ang edad ay 71 months and younger, gagamiton ta an categories sa BMI-FA table para sa mga learners na ang edad ay 72 months to 228 months asin gagamiton ta ang categories sa Adult BMI table para sa mga learners na ang edad ay 229 months and older. 

Pag abot naman sa mga labels, ang WFA categories ay Severely Underweight, Underweight, Normal, Overweight. Ang BMI-FA categories ay Severely Wasted, Wasted, Normal, Overweight, Obese. Ang BMI for Adult categories ay Underweight, Normal, Overweight, Obese.

 

Magpuon year 2010 kan tig release ang DepEd Memo No 241 hanggang ngunyan na year 2022 ay wara pa pong bagong advisory or issuance na tigpaluwas an DepEd na nagsasabi kung ano ng reference table ang kaipuhang gamiton for NS reporting concerns. Ibig sabihon po, su mga reference tables na yaon sa DM No. 241 s2010 ay iyo pa din ang gagamiton sa mga nutritional status reports (NS). In fact, yun pa din po ang mga reference tables na ginamit sa 2017 training on nutritional assessment.

An NS automation files po na tig prepare ta ay naga sunod sa mga impormasyon na nakapresent sa mga reference tables na yan na hale sa pa-training kan 2017. Kindly check sample dataset below (table A). Dai po ako o sisay man pwedeng mag 're-label' kan mga categories dyan sa reference tables ng warang basehan. Maski gayud po an DepEd dai man makaka re-label nyan kasi hale po sa World Health Organization (WHO) ang mga Child Growth Standards (CGS) tables na yan.

Alagad, sa 'software' template po na hale sa CO na tiga gamit puon pa kan year 2013 asin tig distribwir sa kada division, iba man ang resulta na tigatao as shown sa sample dataset below (table B). Minaluwas po na sa template na yan, ang categories lang ay Severely Wasted, Wasted, Normal, Overweight, Obese... regardless of age group. Ano po kayà ang naging basehan? Igwa pong mga cases kitang na eencounter sa field na nasa Grade 1 na ang learner pero younger than 72 months pa an saiyang edad. Igwa din po na mga learners sa ibang Grade level na older than 228 months na ang edad (ie balik aral, SPED). Importante cyempre na ma-categorize ta nin tama o segun sa appropriate reference tables an mga learners sa kada klase ngani na mapakag generate man kita nin tamang school summary. Kapag maayos an pagkaka categorize puon sa class list, magiging maayos man an school summary, an district summary asin an division summary.

Once again, malinaw po sa mga reference tables na bakò man sana Severely Wasted, Wasted, Normal, Overweight, or Obese an mga dapat tang gamiton na Weight categories (aka descriptive labels) kan mga learners.
